The unspoilt North Norfolk coastal region offers a wide range of attractions from beautiful historic villages with Norman churches to spectacular beaches including Holkham beach made famous worldwide by Gwyneth Paltrow in the Oscar-winning Shakespeare in Love. The region is rich in wildlife and is famous for bird watching. Whole fields glow red in early summer, when the poppies are in full bloom, and a deep mauve during the lavender season. Nearby Pensthorpe Nature Reserves is set in 500 acres of beautiful countryside with miles of nature trails to explore through ancient fen meadows, woodland and a superb series of lakes.
